Running Total: -£10
The Shit List first off again this week and sadly its a team who in previous season have proved to be very profitable for me, step forward Crewe. losing to Newport County is frankly unacceptable so you take your place on the season shit list, it’s been emotional.
After being let down in my less ambitious bet last week I’ve decided to go for broke this week in an attempt to get off and running with some profits. My desperation has also led to me calling in the big guns from the EPL.
We will start with the big boys from the EPL, Fulham (12/1) although dominating Palace last week struggled to finish off chances against a poor palace team so Spurs (2/7) really should have non trouble putting them to bed early in this one.
Next up is my boys from Elland Road Leeds United (4/9) after dispatching with promotion favourites Stoke and top 6 players Derby in successive weeks Bielsa’s boys are on a roll and in front of a packed Elland Road i expect another comfortable win against newly promoted Rotherham (7/1)
Barnsley (8/13) take on AFC Wimbledon (5/1) at Oakwell on Saturday and as much as it goes against everything i stand for as a Leeds fan i have to go with the form and odds here. 2 wins from 2 and 0 goals against so far this season means the home team should be heavy favs for this one.
Again going against my basic human principles here and backing Portsmouth (10/11) to do the business against bottom of the table Oxford (15/4) my only real reason for picking this game is on a form basis. No wins for Oxford is less than Portsmouth’s 1 win!
And finally Stevenage (13/20) taking on Morcombe (5/1) at home on Saturday looks to be the easiest money of the day after morcombe have so far conceded 8 goals in two games to start the season.
Add all of these into a 5 team acca and the return is a pitiful £50 this week, but im desperate for a win, before i threw Tottenham into the mix it was an even more unappealing £30 return!
