Betting Corner - 25th October

Well, it's been a few weeks since my last tips, but there's some good value around this weekend.

Liverpool vs Hull (Sat 3pm) - Hull to score (6/10)
Liverpool's defensive problems have been widely documented this season, especially from set pieces. They've conceded 12 in their 8 Premier League games so far, and have only kept 1 clean sheet (6 games ago vs Spurs). Hull have produced some impressive attacking performances already this season and have scored in every single one of their 8 league games, including scoring at least 2 goals in all of their last 5. Despite being the away team, I'd fully expect Hull to grab at least 1 goal at Liverpool on Saturday, who will still be recovering from their disappointing midweek display against Real Madrid. There are numerous other tempting bets in this game, both teams to score is 8/11 and is a must for your BTTS accumulators. Hull to win is a whopping 6/1 which is very decent value, but maybe it's better to play it safe and go for Hull or draw, at 7/4.

Derby vs Wigan (Sat 3pm) - Derby to win to nil (15/8)
Derby's recent form has seen them climb to the top of the Championship, in which they have lost just once this season. They are currently on a run of 5 cleans sheets in row, winning 4 of these. On the other hand, Wigan are winless in 8 league games, and have failed to score in 4 of the last 5 games. Both teams NOT to score is surprisingly as high as evens, despite 3 of Wigan's last 4 games ending 0-0.
Chris Martin is the Championship's joint top goalscorer with 9 goals

Brighton vs Rotherham (Sat 3pm) - Rotherham draw no bet (2/1)
Despite losing in the playoffs last season, Brighton have had a poor start to the season under Sami Hyypia. They sit just outside the relegation zone with just 2 wins all season. They have failed to win in their last 9 league games, and have registered just 1 home league win (a narrow victory against 23rd placed Bolton). Rotherham initially struggled to find their feet after last season's promotion, but have put together a good run of results. They have won 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4, scoring 8 in the process, and you'd expect confidence to be high ahead of their visit to The Amex on Saturday.

A £10 accumulator on my 3 selections this week would return a fairly substantial £138!

LONGSHOT BET: Crewe had a shocking start to the season but have won their last 3 games. Despite keeping their first 2 clean sheets of the season, they still boast the worst defence in the league. They come up against an inconsistent Sheffield United side on saturday, and it's 6/1 for Crewe to win and both teams to score.
